Program Structure

Program design is as per the Karnatak University and this is for whole MBA course. It consists of four semesters and Student need to complete minimum 100 credits

Curriculum

The MBA program is a general management program designed by Karnatak University Dharwad to provide understanding and develop managerial, human and conceptual skills. The two years MBA program gives the students an in-depth exposure and skills to matchup with the industrial demand. The courses are intellectually demanding academically challenging and are taught by the faculty who encourage active student participation.

Chetan Business School is constantly trying to deliver value to the students and create a competitive environment for the students with the help of Industrial visit, Case study based teaching,Β  frequent corporate interaction and each course at Chetan Business School aims at providing the student broad knowledge of concepts, policies and techniques applicable for effective and efficient management of business, applying management tools in real situations and skills necessary to meet the future demands of the industry for becoming successful managers. Thus, the program and curriculum makes each student analytically rich, theoretically sound and professionally versatile.

Respective course faculty prepares the course contents with course objectives and course outcomes, also mentioning text/reference books for the academic year. The programme curriculum is set by the Karnatak University Dharwad but the course outline is designed by the faculty is assessed by faculty council every semester and the course outlines are updated accordingly.

Overall quality and level of program curriculum

The programme curriculum is reviewed every semester by the course faculty and the course outline is revised every semester. Input from the industry, alumni and the research are taken into consideration to revive the course outline every semester.

Collaborative learning:

Conducts of events like organizing guest lectures, conferences, Industrial visits, student’s participation in intercollege competitions etc. are planned and the coordinators are allotted for all the events during the Department meeting prior to reopen of the semester for effective conduction of the activities throughout the semester.

To support weak students and encourage bright students (Student encouragement) :

Identification of bright and weak students is as per the performance of the student during continuous internal evaluation. Motivate the weak students to attend remedial classes and help them to better understand the subject. Encourage the bright students to attend more workshops and technical talks. Bright students are encouraged to take up mini projects and case studies etc to make more analytically skilled student.

Continuous Internal Evaluation

The course faculty conducts three internal assessment tests as per the course outline and covers 100% syllabus. The tests are conducted for a maximum of 10 marks. The duration of the test is one hour and question paper are set to make the student to learn time management. The faculties after every internal assessment test they explain the solution of the questions in the class which will enable them to perform well in the final examination. For any genuine reasons, if a student was unable to write in any one of the internal, extra test will be given to him/her. The marks obtained from all the three tests and assignments are considered for the award of internal assessment marks. If a candidate remains absent for all the tests conducted, the Internal assessment marks are marked as β€œAbsent” in the result.
